Your files never reach us. Ever.
Sorty has no file-processing servers or account system, so your files and folder data never touch the developers. Cloud AI data goes directly to the provider you choose. Separately, you can opt in to tightly scoped anonymous app analytics that never includes file or AI content.
Sorty can't leak what it never receives. With no backend, the app and its developers have zero visibility into your files. Cloud AI providers only see contents when Deep Scan is on — your call, every time.
No accounts. No file telemetry.
Sorty has no file-processing backend and never sends us file names, paths, contents, prompts, provider responses, or API keys. Anonymous app analytics and crash reports only start if you explicitly allow them, and a denial is never reported.
Only your AI provider sees anything
To build a plan, Sorty sends file names and metadata to the AI provider you choose. File contents are only ever shared if you explicitly turn on Deep Scan — and even then, contents go directly to your provider, never through Sorty.
Or keep everything 100% on-device
Use Ollama or Apple Foundation Models, keep anonymous analytics off, and your organization workflow stays on your Mac. Block Internet Connections can enforce that choice.
Strict, scoped folder access
Sorty uses macOS security-scoped bookmarks. It can only ever touch the specific folders you explicitly grant — nothing else on your disk.
